• If the device, the cable or the mains plug is defective, do not
attempt to repair the device yourself. In the event of any damage,
contact our customer service department.
• In the event of a fi re:
– It is essential to remove the mains plug immediately.
– Hot fat / oil may catch fi re if it is overheated. Do not extinguish
burning fat / oil with water, but smother the fl ames with a
fi reproof blanket or similar cloth or extinguish a fat fi re with
a fi re extinguisher which is capable of extinguishing fi res
involving cooking fat!
Do NOT use water to extinguish the fi re as the steam can pose
an additional risk of scalding.
– Dispose of the device.
• Never leave the device unsupervised during operation.
• The device must not be moved during operation.
• Do not drop the device or allow it to be knocked violently.
• Do not place any combustible materials, such as cardboard,
plastic, paper or candles, on or in the device.
• Only use heat-resistant utensils to place and remove the food.
Keep metal objects or other sharp objects away from the device.
These objects could damage the surfaces of the grill plates.
• Do not use any aluminium foil. This might result in the device
overheating!
• Do not place food that is wrapped in cling fi lm or plastic bags in
or on the device.
• Open the device only by the handle to prevent burns. We also
recommend the use of potholders or kitchen gloves.
• Remove the plug from the mains socket
– when the device is not in use,
– if a fault occurs while the device is in operation,
– in the event of a fi re,
– before a thunderstorm,
– before you clean the device.
• Always pull the plug and never the cable!
• Never immerse the device in water or other liquids. Ensure that
the device, cable or plug cannot fall into water or become wet.
