Remove the chain from all four
sprockets.

Turn the leadscrew clockwise to raise
the table (Fig 14).
When the adjustment is complete,
install the chain and tension.

7.7 Conveyor Belt adjustment

Belt Tension:
The belt should have just enough
tension to move the material without
slipping on the drive roller.
Turn knobs (X, Fig 15) clockwise to
increase tension.
CAUTION:
Do not overtighten the conveyor belt.
Excessive tension will cause
stretching and premature wear of the
belt.
The belt is too loose when it can be
stopped by hand pressure applied
directly to the top of the conveyor belt.
Fig 15
Belt Tracking:
Belt tracking adjustments are made
while the conveyor belt is running.
Turn the conveyor on to fastest speed.
Watch for a tendency of the conveyor
belt to drift.
To adjust the belt tracking, loosen the
knob (X) on the side the belt is drifting
toward, and tighten the knob on the
opposite side.
Adjust the knobs only ¼ turn at a time
and allow for the belt to react before
you proceed any further.
Attention:
Do not over-tighten the conveyor belt.

7.8 Drive Belt tensioning

Disconnect the machine from the
power source (lock mains switch in
Off-position).
Check the tension of the drive
belts by squeezing the belts
together in the middle with
moderate pressure (Fig 16). They
are properly tensioned when there
is approximately 7mm deflection.
Fig 16
If adjustment is necessary, loosen
the hex nuts (Y, Fig 17) and raise
or lower the motor plate as
needed.
Fig 17
If replacing the belts, always
replace them in matched sets of
the proper size.

faults. Replace a defective sanding
belt immediately.
Inspect the conveyor belt tracking
regularly.
Monthly lubricate all moving parts,
such as threaded rods, washers, chain
and bushings.
Clean the machine regularly.
Inspect the proper function of the dust
extraction daily.
Defective safety devices must be
replaced immediately.
All protective and safety devices must
be re-attached immediately after
completed cleaning, repair and
maintenance work.
Repair and maintenance work on the
electrical system may only be carried
out by a qualified electrician.
Check the oil level in the gearbox by
removing the oil plug on top, and add
oil if necessary. Use a good quality
gear oil. After every 2,500 hours,
completely drain and refill gearbox.
