• Users of PushLock eyebolt shall be
medicallyfit,physicallycapableandsuitably
trained. PushLock eyebolts shall not be used
by pregnant women, minors or those under
theinfluenceofdrugsoralcohol.
• Where a manually adjustable rope
lanyard or a retractable type fall arrester
is used, the manufacturer for any such
device shall be consulted for its suitability
and conformity. Manufacturers of these
devices shall also be consulted as to their
suitability for horizontal use; including over
edge falls, as not all types are acceptable.

User Instructions
1 General information
Instructions shall be retained and provided to
all Users of PushLock eyebolt in the language
of the destination country, even when resold.
Failure to follow these instructions may cause
serious injury or death.
2 Safety Instructions
• N omodifications,additionsoralterations
shall be made to the PushLock eyebolt. All
repairs,alterationsormodificationsareto
be made by the manufacturer only.
• The User shall only connect to the
PushLock using an energy absorbing
lanyard compliant to the appropriate
national standards. PushLock eyebolt shall
be used for fall protection purposes only.

3 Product specification
• The PushLock eyebolt is designed to be
used with a PushLock socket as a single
point anchor.
• If a fall occurs the energy absorbing
lanyard will ensure that the maximum force
transmitted to the structure and the User
will not exceed 6 kN.

WARNING
• Ensure a rescue plan and the means to
implement it are in place.
• Any PushLock eyebolt with suspected
faults or that has arrested a fall shall be
immediately withdrawn from service and
returned to MSA or the authorized installer.
Any sockets with suspected faults shall be
immediately withdrawn from service and
inspected by an approved installer or their
authorized agents.
Failure to follow these warnings can result
in serious personal injury or death.
• For a single User only; any User (including
tools and equipment carried) shall not
exceed 100 kg
• The system is suitable for use from -20°C
to +60°C.

5 Requirements for use
• Before undertaking work at height and at
regular intervals during the period of work,
a risk assessment shall be carried out.
All personnel shall wear the P.P.E. that
isidentifiedasnecessaryfromtherisk
assessment.
• Karabiners that foul the eyebolt release
mechanism shall not be used.
6 Pre-use checks
• Product markings shall be legible and
components within examination dates.
• Examine all metal connections and
karabiners for functionality and signs of
damage, check for corrosion, signs of
cracking or bending.
• Ensure there are no exposed edges which
may cause abrasion of the lanyard or
harness during work.
