Pressing the "audio signal" pushbutton 1 several
times changes the setting (see Table).
Setting the Unit of Measure
Press the "unit of measure" pushbutton 3 once to indi-
cate the current setting. Pressing the "unit of measure"
pushbutton 3 several times changes the setting (see
Table).
Changing the LED Brightness
The laser-height indication LEDs 5 indicate the position of
the receiver relative to the laser beam (see Chapter "Display
and Audio Signals").
To change the LED brightness, press the "unit of
measure" pushbutton 3 and the "audio signal"
pushbutton 2 at the same time (see Table).
When the LEDs are switched off, the service life of the bat-
teries is prolonged.
Starting the Operation of the Receiver
Mount the receiver to the requested position on the stadia
rod and direct the reception area toward the laser beam.
When the laser beam is not at the height of
the zero point, an audio signal sounds and
the red LEDs 5 light up. The height arrow
appears on the display and the measuring
value indicates how far away the zero point
is. Adjust the zero point in the reception
area to the height of the laser beam. Move
the stadia rod in the appropriate direction.
When reaching the zero point, a high-pitch,
loud audio signal sounds and the green
LED 5 lights up.
Capture function (HOLD): The "capture"
function allows you to retain a measuring
value on the display. When the switched-on
receiver is not in the laser plane and the
ON/OFF (capture) pushbutton 4 is pressed,
an interval audio signal sounds. (When the
audio signal was switched off, is goes on
now at low volume.) "WAIT" appears on
the display and confirms the activated "cap-
ture" function. Now, set the receiver into the
laser plane (and vertically align the stadia
rod, if required). A rapid "chirp" sounds
after approx. 5 seconds, and thus confirms
that the measuring value has been stored. Remove the
receiver from the laser plane and read the flashing measur-
ing value. To carry out another measurement, simply press
any pushbutton.
