If the alarm stops, find out the cause and take the appropriate corrective
action.
If the alarm continues and the gas escape cannot be located or
eliminated, leave the building and call the emergency services from
outside.
5.u - PERIODIC INDICATIONS
Periodic appliance replacement warning
(after 5 years of operation)
The appliance automatically warns when it is time for replacement in accordance
with regulations (after 5 years of operation): the green LED, yellow LED and red LED
1 will flash simultaneously and a dual acoustic signal will sound every hour.
Temporary deactivation of the appliance replacement warning signal
The signal can be deactivated by pressing "
be automatically reactivated.
RESET
Resetting the appliance replacement signal
With the appliance replacement signal active (green LED, yellow LED, and red LED 1
flashing) it is possible to reset the operating hours counter. Press and hold down the
"
RESET
" button until red LED 1 switches off, then release the button. The appliance
switches to "normal operation" mode (chap. 1.u - fig.3) and the counter restarts the
operating hours count for a further period of 5 years.

All gas presence signals (with the exception of the "Gas presence alarm") and the
alarms event memory are superimposed over the appliance replacement signal.

7.u - ADVICES FOR CORRECT USE
• DO NOT bring cloths soaked with Alcohol, Acetone, Ammonia,
Bleach or Solvents into the proximity of the appliance.
• DO NOT use any kind of SPRAY near the gas detector.
•DO NOT carry out an operational test on the gas detector by
releasing gas directly from the gas pipe, lighters or lighter refill
cans.
•Cooking vapours and pollutant dusts can affect the
performance of the sensor over time.
• DO NOT ATTEMP TO OPEN THE CABINET: danger of electric
shock and malfunctions.
•On a periodic basis, check that the vents on the front panel of
the detector, which channel air to the sensor, are not
obstructed by dust or grease, etc.
• To clean this device make use of a lightly wet tissue.
When the yellow Led is permanently
alight or the buzzer rings continuosly,
these indicate a breakdown or fault
detected by the self-diagnostic
system of the appliance (fig. 8).
