Operating mode S6 40%: Continuous operation with
idling (cycle time 10 minutes). To ensure that the
motor does not become excessively hot, it may only
be operated for 40% of the cycle at the specified
rating and must then be allowed to idle for 60% of the
cycle.
Keep the noise emissions and vibrations to a
minimum.
Only use appliances which are in perfect working
order.
Service and clean the appliance regularly.
Adapt your working style to suit the appliance.
Do not overload the appliance.
Have the appliance serviced whenever
necessary.
Switch the appliance off when it is not in use.
Wear protective gloves.
Residual risks
Even if you use this electric power tool in
accordance with instructions, certain residual
risks cannot be rules out. The following hazards
may arise in connection with the equipment's
construction and layout:
1. Lung damage if no suitable protective dust mask
is used.
2. Damage to hearing if no suitable ear protection is
used.
3. Health damage caused by hand-arm vibrations if
the equipment is used over a prolonged period or
is not properly guided and maintained.

5. Installation
The garden shredder is delivered unassembled. The
230 V ~ 50 Hz
chassis and the wheels must be fitted before use.

6. Operation
Please observe the statutory regulations governing
noise abatement during operating times, which may
differ from town to town.
6.1 Connecting up the machine and switching it
on
Connect the coupling on the machine connection
cable (extension) to the power cable (Fig. 1/Item
9).
The machine can be switched ON (switch position
"I") and OFF (switch position "0") using the
ON/OFF switch (Figure 1/Item 11).
Note: The machine cannot be switched on if there is
no voltage being supplied to it. If the power supply is
interrupted, the machine will switch off automatically
(switch position "0"). The machine cannot be switched
on again until the voltage supply has been re-
established and the ON/OFF switch has been moved
to position "I".
6.2 Overload protection (motor circuit-breaker)
The motor is protected from overloads by an overload
switch.
During operation the control pin projects out of the
overload switch housing by around 4 mm. If the motor
is overloaded for a lengthy period, the overload switch
will trip and switch off the machine. In this case the pin
on the overload switch will project out of the housing
by around 8 mm and the ON/OFF switch will
automatically move to "0".
After waiting for at least 1 minute the control pin in the
overload switch can be pressed and the ON/OFF
switch then switched on again (switch position "I").
