5. Never use accessories which are not recommended by the manufac-
turer. They could pose a safety risk to the user and might damage the
appliance. Only use original parts and accessories.
6. No responsibility is accepted for damages resulting from improper use
or non-compliance with these instructions.
7. Before connecting the appliance to the power supply, check that the
power supply voltage and current rating corresponds with the power
supply details shown on the appliance rating label.
8. Never use a damaged appliance! Disconnect the appliance from the wall
outlet and contact your supplier if it is damaged.
9. Danger of electric shock! Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself.
In case of malfunction, repairs are to be conducted by qualified person-
nel only.
10. Regularly check the power plug and power cord for damage.
A damaged power cord has to be replaced by the manufacturer, its
customer service department or a similar qualified person in order to
avoid danger of injury.
11. Avoid damage to cords. Do not squeeze, bend or scour on sharp edges.
Keep away from hot surfaces and open flames.
12. Do not pull the power plug out of the wall outlet by the power cord and
do not wrap the power cord around the appliance.
13. If an extension cord is used, its capacity needs to be suitable for the
power consumed by the appliance.
14. Warning! During cleaning or operation do not immerse the electrical
parts of the appliance in water or other liquids. If moisture enters the
motor block through the ventilation slots, it is no longer safe for ope-
ration.
15. Do not operate the appliance with wet hands or standing on a wet floor.
Do not touch the power plug with wet hands.
16. Connect the power plug with an easily reachable wall outlet so that
in case of an emergency the appliance can be unplugged immedia-
tely. Pull the plug out of the wall outlet to completely switch off the
appliance. Use the power plug as the disconnect device which shall
remain readily accessible.
17. Unplug from the wall outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
