The Onbone Express heating device is intended only for use with
Onbone products. The heating cabinet is appropriate for quickly
heating Onbone products as well as for re-heating preformed On-
bone splints or casts. Do not use the device against instructions
by manufacturer.
Before use
• Remove the protective shipping material from the heating cabinet.
• Place the device on a solid, well-aligned worktop or table, so that discon-
necting of the device is easy.
• Do not place the device next to a tap or sink.
(Danger of water sprays or splashes!).
• Ensure that the main switch is OFF before plugging in the device.
Using the Onbone Express heating device
1. Switch the power ON.
2. Open the hatch, place the Onbone product on the heating area
and close the hatch.
3. Choose an appropriate heating programme:
• Short cycle (approx. 40 sec): 1 mm Ribbon
• Medium cycle (approx. 100 sec): 2 mm and 2 mm Soft
• Long cycle (approx. 3 min): 4 mm
Do not remove the product until the heating cycle is complete
and the orange light is off.
4. At the end of the heating cycle, open the hatch and ensure that
the product is soft and malleable and not too hot for the patient.
5. Apply the product according to the instructions.
Cancelling the heating cycle
• During heating cycles, the green programme light is illuminated.
• To cancel the programme, press the selected programme switch again.
Re-heating Onbone products
• When re-heating, always keep the hatch open to monitor
the progress of softening.
• When re-heating, always use a shorter programme or interrupt the
heating programme manually by pressing the selected programme
button.
• Do not insert pre-shaped Onbone products that are larger than
the hatch opening.
• Always take care that the Onbone product does not come into contact with
the IR heating element itself.
Make sure that the Onbone product is not too hot for the patient!
Warnings
• Do not use the device if its' connecting cable or any other component
part is defective.
