nutrients to the aquarium without under-fertilizing or over-fertilizing. This contributes
to the optimal plant growth and helps you avoid over-fertilization and algae problems.
How does the 4-component system work?
Duplarit specifically fertilize the substrate. The nutrients are stabilised and supplied to
the roots but cannot be sapped from the water. Dupla Plant basic is a base fertilizer,
which contains all the necessary nutrients along with Duplarit and is added to the aqua-
rium water. Dupla Plant 24 adds to the nutrients consumed by the plants every day.
General: For optimal plant growth, begin fertilization as soon as you set up the
aquarium. You can achieve excellent results with the components Dupla Plant basic
and Dupla Plant 24 for your plants, but without Duplarit your aquarium plants won't
have active root fertilization.
Duplarit G substrate fertilizer:
· Granulate for setting up the aquarium
· Substrate fertilizer for aquarium plants
· Natural iron-active tropical laterite with root activation powder
Pure gravel is not suitable as a substrate for aquarium plants. With Duplarit, the soil
conditions are transferred to tropical water features in the aquarium. Duplarit is a
purely natural product, which is searched for with great care, removed, cleaned and
prepared for the aquarium in Sri Lanka. When selecting the laterite in Sri Lanka, we
ensure a high iron content, which guarantees a long-term supply to the plant's roots
and is very well coordinated with the base fertilizer Dupla Plant basic and the daily
fertilizer Dupla Plant 24. The enclosed bag of root activation powder contains growth
agents for fast root growth in the start phase.
Using Duplarit G: Mix the contents of the pouch with around one third of the gravel
intended for the substrate dry in a bucket. Then the root activation powder (for Duplarit G
for 200 litres add 10 tablets of Dupla Plant) is crushed in a glass, dissolved in water,
poured into the mixture in the bucket and mixed in. Before you put this mixture into
the aquarium, the Dupla heating cable should be laid on the base. The Duplarit mixture
is now evenly distributed over the soil. The remaining substrate goes on top. Now
carefully fill up to around 5 centimetres above the gravel with water. Then you can
continue to fill as normal. After filling, fertilize by the book with Dupla Plant basic and
Dupla Plant 24.

Duplarit K fertilization balls:

Duplarit K is made of the same material as Duplarit G. The ball shape makes it easy to
subsequently introduce the natural tropical plant soil to an aquarium that has been set
up. Furthermore, individual plant groups can be promoted simply by pressing the balls
into the root area in the soil.
Using Duplarit K: Simply press the individual balls into the root area of the plants
concerned. The balls should be introduced at least 1 cm below the substrate surface.

Special notice: Duplarit K is excellently suited as a soil fertilizer in a garden pond.
Note: Clean, washed aquarium gravel is nutrient-free and so cannot be used as aquarium soil.
Dupla Plant basic base fertilizer: With this base fertilizer, all aquarium plants get
a balanced combination of trace elements and iron, which is accessible to plants. You
can avoid deficiency symptoms in your plants. Dupla Plant basic is one component of
the Dupla fertilizer system and works best in combination with Duplarit and Dupla
Plant 24.
