INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Before switching on the soldering iron, all of the following condi-
tions must be verified:
1 - supply voltage: the supply voltage must correspond to the voltage indicated on the soldering iron data plate
2 - inserting the tip: the soldering tip has a spring or screw fitting: this must be inserted fully in order to assure the
greatest possible surface contact with the heating element
3 - soldering iron holder: before switching on the soldering iron, place it in a suitable holder in order to prevent
injury or damage during heating. The base must always be used to hold the hot soldering iron during use once
the temperature has been reached
4 - tip replacement: when replacing the tip, make sure that the new tip is compatible with the heating element;
avoid the creation of air cushions between the heating element and the tip. All operations on the tip must be
carried out with the tool cold and disconnected from the power supply
5 - hot parts: none of the soldering iron components, with the exception of the tip and the heating body, withstand
the high temperatures of the hot elements: never place the soldering tip or heating body in contact with any other
parts such as cables, plugs etc..
6 - inflammable substances: never work in the presence of inflammable substances
7 - ventilation: make sure that the soldering environment is well ventilated: toxic gases may be produced by the
welding operations
8 - hygiene precautions: do not eat or drink near soldering operations and wash your hands carefully after use
9 - hot parts: during operation, the soldering tip and heating element get very hot. They remain hot for some
minutes after the soldering iron is switched off. Do not touch the heated elements
10 - cleaning the tip: the soldering tip must be cleaned with a wet sponge. Other than this, the soldering iron must
never be placed in contact with water or damp elements.
11 - do not heat the soldering iron without the tip inserted
12 - repairs: do not open the soldering irons: repairs must only be carried out by expert staff
13 - knocks: do not knock the soldering tip; the heated part is made from ceramic material and is therefore very
fragile
14 - Beta soldering irons with button: the Beta soldering irons fitted with a button have two times, expressed
in seconds (sec.) on the label: the first indicates the maximum time permitted at maximum power, with the
button pressed (15 sec. ON). The second indicates the minimum cooling interval between machine uses at
maximum power (45 sec. OFF) – fig.1)
Longer times than those indicated on the label for use at maximum power will compromise the duration of the
tip and the heating element.
Neither the plug nor the cable may be replaced; in case of damage safety will be affected and the item
may no longer be used.
WARRANTY
12 months from date of purchase – The warranty consists in free repairs or replacments at our headquar-
ters – The warranty does not cover replacements or repairs of any parts subject to normal wear and tear
as the result of operation – The warranty will not apply if the device is damaged through misuse.
