Loosen the both of clamping nuts on the base with the
hex wrench. Tilt the cutter to the desired angle (45° -
48°) then tighten the clamping nuts.
Straight surface width adjustment
You can leave a straight surface on the side of the
workpiece.

Loosen the screws on the lower handle.

Set the straight surface width by moving the guide
rule.

Tighten the screws on the lower handle.
NOTE: The straight surface width is indicated in the
gauges on both sides of the handle. Always match the
pointed values on both sides for accurate finish.
ASSEMBLY
CAUTION:
Always be sure that the tool is
switched off and unplugged before carrying out
any work on the tool.
Removing or installing diamond
wheel (optional accessory)
CAUTION:
BE SURE TO TIGHTEN THE HEX
BOLT SECURELY. Also be careful not to tighten
the bolt forcibly. Slipping your hand from the hex
wrench can cause a personal injury.
CAUTION:
Use only the Makita wrench and
hex wrench to install or remove the wheel.
To remove the diamond wheel, hold the outer flange
with the wrench and turn the hex bolt clockwise with the
hex wrench. Then remove the hex bolt, outer flange and
diamond wheel.
