- Page 4 Send and Return Effects Loop Jacks The EFFECTS LOOP is provided to facilitate connecting external effects to your rig. Using shielded cables, connect the SEND jack to the input of the effects unit and its output to the RETURN jack. Tip: In-circuit, the loop is between the xm100’s internal preamp and its power amplifier.
