General installation conditions CoxFix
CoxFix
• ® flue gas outlet material is a system with CE, KOMO and
Gastec Qa quality label suitable for non-condensing and
condensing fan-controlled central heating boilers.
• Respect the national gas instructions (for the Netherlands NPR
3378, NEN 2757) and the installation instructions

• The CoxFix system is not suitable for operation in the open air.
®
• At a vertical installation the maximum length of the flue liner,
which is not fixed with brackets has to be 50,0m
• At a non-vertical installation the length is endless, but the
maximum bracket distance has to be 1,0m in this case.
• Install horizontal pipe sections with a fall of 50mm to the boiler.
• Don't store the CoxFix system in a corrosive environment.

• There are no dangerous substances used in the CoxFix
system.
• Where accidental human contact is possible, the flue liner has
to be enclosed, so that physical contact with the flue liner is
impossible.
Enclosing of the flue liner is possible with combustible materials
with a minimum thickness of 12mm. The distance of the
CoxFix liner to the combustible enclosure has to be at least

50mm. (see figure 2) The enclosure has to be ventilated at the
under and upper side, with painted ventilation plates with a
minimum ventilation area of 105cm2/piece. (see figure 1) The
ventilation plates can be omitted when the shaft is ventilated
over the whole length, from the boiler till outside with a minimum
ventilation area of 105cm2.
Attention: This is the minimum ventilation configuration!
• When mounting on the wall/ceiling, only use the Cox Geelen
bracket (see catalog). Components from different systems must
not be mixed.
• When using a telescopic pipe for inspection purposes, the
insertion end may be mounted over a length of 50mm. This
will make an inspection opening available above the appliance
connection stub after complete displacement (see figure 3).
Installation of the CoxFix
• The installation of the separate sections comes together
by pushing the spigot end of the section (see open arrow figure
3) into the socket of the previous section.
• Don't install the system upside down. This can cause
leakage of condensate.
• Making a specific length: when a pipe section is too long,
it's possible to shorten this (e.g. with a handsaw)
• Making a specific length: when a pipe section is too short,
it can be extended by use of an adjustable pipe.
• Remove burrs at the pipe ends.
• Installation: before putting the sections together, the push in
spigot and the seals have to be smeared with soapsuds or
special sour free Vaseline (only obtainable at Cox Geelen), so that
a smooth installation becomes possible.
