Prior to filling the reservoir, turn the unit off, then remove the lid and pour the required
•
amount of water.
To pour water from the unit, pull the spigot handle forward and pour until the
•
container is filled. Release the spigot handle, and it will close automatically.
Check the quantity of water in the reservoir and add more if necessary.
•
CAUTION!
Check the water level regularly. Never turn on the unit without water!
WARNING! Hot surface! Danger of burns!
When the unit is in use, its surface gets as hot as the temperature of the water! Do
not touch the hot surface of the unit!
If the unit is not in use, turn the temperature dial all the way to the left and remove the
•
plug from its socket.
Leave remaining water to cool and pour out of the reservoir.
•
The unit is equipped with a safety feature to prevent it being turned on without water.
•
If, by mistake, the unit is turned on with little or no water, the safety feature will
activate and the unit will turn off automatically. Disconnect the unit and leave to cool.
After cooling, refill the reservoir with fresh water and turn the unit on.
The same safety feature will activate if there are too many calcium deposits in the
unit. If this occurs, empty the reservoir and allow the unit to cool. After it cools,
descale the unit (see 6.2 „Cleaning and descaling"). After descaling, the unit can
be turned on again.
