OPERATION
3. Aim the laser beam to the upper target and press the
"MEAS" button to record the first distance.
4. The bottom line on the Pythagorean two points symbol
will flash. Do not move the bottom rear corner of the
tool. Rotate the front of the tool down until the bubble
vial indicates the tool is level.
5. Aim the laser beam at the lower target and press the
"MEAS" button to record the second distance. See
figure 4
The calculated measurement will appear at the bottom of
the display screen.

PYTHAGOREAN METHOD
(THREE POINTS) (FIG 5)
When calculating an unknown distance, a 90° angle must
be formed between the target surface and the unknown
distance.
1. Turn the tool on.
2. Press "FUNC" button four times and the Pythagorean
three points symbol appears in the function field on the
display screen. The top line on the Pythagorean three
points symbol will flash.
3. Aim the laser beam to the upper target and press the
"MEAS" button to record the first distance.
4. The middle line on the Pythagorean three points symbol
will flash. Do not move the bottom rear corner of the
tool. Rotate the front of the tool down until the bubble
vial indicates the tool is level.
5. Aim the laser beam to the middle target and press the
"MEAS" button to record the second distance.
6. The bottom line on the Pythagorean three points symbol
will flash. Do not move the bottom rear corner of the
tool. Rotate the front of the tool down until you reach
the bottom of the target surface and press the measure
button to record the third distance. See figure 5.
The calculated measurement will appear at the bottom of
the display screen.

ADDITION/SUBTRACTION
Press and immediately release the Addition/Subtraction
button to activate the addition mode.
Press and hold the Addition/Subtraction button for 3
seconds to activate the subtraction function.
1. Turn the tool on.
2. Aim the laser beam at the desired target.
3. Press the "MEAS" button to record the first distance.
4. Press the Addition/Subtraction button to activate the
desired mode.
5. Press the "MEAS" button to record the second distance.
The calculated measurement will appear at the bottom of
the display screen.

MEMORY BUTTON

The stored values will display in the reverse order that they
were taken, so the most recent measurement will display
first.
1. Repeatedly Press the Memory button to display up to
the last 20 measurements recorded.
2. Press the "CLEAR" button to delete the last
measurement recorded and return to the measure
mode.
