OPERATION
AUDIO ON/OFF
This button is to turn On or Off the key and warning tone.
NOTE:
When Audio is activated, an tone will sound when
a measurement is taken.
STATIC MEASUREMENT MODE
Static Measurement Mode is to display
a fixed distance between the tool and the target surface.
Follow the steps below to take a static measurement.
1. Turn the tool on.
2. Position the measurement reference of the tool at the
starting point.
3. Aim the laser beam at the desired target.
4. Press the "MEAS" button to record the measurement.
NOTE:
The laser will be deactivated after each
measurement taken. You need to re-activate the laser
beam by pressing the "MEAS" button before take the
next measurement.
CONTINUOUS MEASUREMENT
MODE (MIN/MAX)
Continuous Measurement Mode helps find a target
distances quickly. It displays real time measurements as
the distance between the tool and the target changes.
1. Turn the tool on.
2. Aim the measuring tool at the target surface.
3. Press the "MIN/MAX" button to set Continuous
Measurement Mode on.
4. The measurement data on the display changes when
you move the tool in relationship to the target surface.
5. Mark the tool position as the starting point once the
desired distance is reached.
6. This mode also helps to find the maximum or
minimum distance from the tool to the target surface.
See the figure 3. Follow the steps above 1-4. Press the
"MEAS" button to record the measurement and stop
the Continuous Measurement Mode. The maximum
and minimum distances measured are shown on the
display. The last measured value is displayed in the
summary line.

AREA MEASUREMENT
1. Turn the tool on.
2. Press the "FUNC" button once and the area symbol
appears in the function field on the display screen.
3. Aim the laser beam at the first desired target (length)
and press the "MEAS" button to record the first
MEAS
distance.
4. Aim the laser beam at the second desired target (width)
and press the "MEAS" button to record the second
distance.
The results of length, width, perimeter and area are shown
on the display screen.

VOLUME MEASUREMENT

1. Turn the tool on.
MAX/MIN
2. Press "FUNC" button twice and the volume symbol
appears in the function field on the display screen.
3. Aim the laser beam at the first desired target (length)
and press the "MEAS" button to record the first
distance.
4. Aim the laser beam at the second desired target (width)
and press the "MEAS" button to record the second
distance.
5. Aim the laser beam at the third desired target (height)
and press the "MEAS" button to record the third
distance.
The results of length, width, height and volume are shown
on the display screen.
PYTHAGOREAN METHOD
(TWO POINTS) (FIG 4)
When calculating an unknown distance, a 90° angle must
be formed between the target surface and the unknown
distance.
1. Turn the tool on.
2. Press the "FUNC" button three times and the
Pythagorean two points symbol appears in the
function field on the display screen. The top line on the
Pythagorean two points symbol will flash.
