Check the items supplied for completeness and possible transport damage. If the ket-
tle, base station, mains plug of mains cable should have any damage, do not use the
device (!), but contact our customer service department.

Before fi rst use
1. Remove any protective fi lms and transport restraints that may be present from the
device. Never remove the rating plate and any possible warnings!
2. Clean the kettle with a damp, soft cloth (see chapter "Cleaning and Care").
3. Place the base station (4) on a dry, water and heat-resistant, even surface with suf-
fi cient space to fl ammable objects. Please ensure that the device is not accessible
to children.
4. Insert the mains plug in a properly installed and grounded socket.
5. To remove any possible production residues, fi ll the water kettle (5) with tap water
up to the MAX mark and let it boil up (see chapter "Use"). Pour the water away after-
wards. Repeat this process twice.
The kettle is now ready for use!
