MAINTENANCE – DISMOUNTING – MOUNTING – REPLACEMENTS OF PARTS
1) PUMP
The pump is magnetically driven (no seal). The drive magnet (3579) transfers the motor-hp to the pump system. The impeller magnet
housing (3580) creates a stationary wall between drive magnet (3579) and magnetic impeller (3582).The magnetic impeller spins on
the stationary ceramic spindle (1624-M) and is lubricated by the liquid. Do not run dry.
Regularly check pumping operation. If the unit is not used for a longer time, it is advisable to bring some water into the pump house in order
to avoid a harmful crystallization.
Always and only use the original suction strainer; clean it regularly. The construction of the pump is very simple. After having removed the
hoses, the following parts one after the other are dismounted, cleaned or replaced and mounted again in reversed order:
a) Bolt + washer (3591)
b) Pump housing (3583)
c) Magnetic impeller (3582)
d) Pump spindle (1624-M)
e) Ceramic thrust washer (1623-M)
f) O-ring (3581)
g) Impeller magnet housing (3580)
2) Thermal overload switch
The motor has been adjusted on 220 Volts. When you have a unit which is 380 Volts, the thermal overload switch has been adjusted on
the intensity of current for 380 Volts. If during the operation of the filter pump the switch jumps out repeatedly after given time – without
definable cause – the Ampere value has to be adjusted higher. To this end the cover of the switch is removed. Beneath the red push button
a set screw is located. By turning the same to the left, the Ampere value can be raised. Attention should be paid to the arrow above the
characters AMP and to the dial. A rise up to 10% above the indicated Ampere value on the machine shield of the electric motor is allowed.
3) Manometer
The diaphragm transfers the pressure in the filter chamber to the manometer via a small quantity of Arabic gum solution. This protects
the manometer against aggressive fluids. If it is found that it does no longer indicate correctly, the space above the diaphragm has to be
repleted with water. To this end the copper (brass) safety nut screwed to the steel cover plate is slightly loosened, after which the whole
manometer can be manually turned out of the cover plate. Water can then be introduced and the manometer can be remounted or replaced.
After mounting the manometer should be at zero position.
