For your own safety, read these in-
structions carefully before assembling
the LW 9 and then keep them in a safe
place for future reference.
Usage/Function
Minimum airflow levels in ventilation systems are
monitored with the LW 9 airflow monitor.
If the defined airflow setpoint value (1...20 m/s), is
reached or exceeded, the integrated relay picks up
and ventilation components can be switched with-
out problem. Pre-programmed time steps (t
the controller guarantee a safe startup of the fan.
MAICO accepts no liability for any damage caused
by non-authorised use.

Safety instructions
Assembly, electrical connection work and
repairs should only be carried out by
qualified electricians.
During electrical installation, ensure compliance
with the valid regulations, in particular the
pertinent sections of DIN VDE 0100.
The LW 9 airflow monitor may only be
operated with:
– correctly installed sensor [F].
– the controller [A] correctly installed in a
control cabinet, on a 35mm profile rail.
The LW 9 airflow monitor may not be
operated:
– in ducts, channels or other areas with inflam-
mable materials, fluids or gases.
– in areas subject to explosion hazards
– if it is damaged.
