On the following types of flooring,
the colour display can continue to
show red or orange even after
thorough cleaning:
- heavily soiled carpets with deeply
ingrained soiling, e.g. in very old
carpets;
- carpets which shed their fibres
easily, e.g. sisal and coconut fibre
matting;
- new carpets
Maintainance
,
Always disconnect the vacuum
cleaner from the electrical supply for
cleaning or maintenance work on
the floorhead. Switch off at the wall
socket and remove the plug.
Change battery display
A red light flashing in the colour display
indicates that the batteries need to be
changed (see section "Preparing for
use").
Keep two 1.5 V batteries (type AA)
ready for this purpose.
On average the batteries will need to
be changed every nine months.

Cleaning the hygiene sensor
To ensure continuing optimal
performance, we recommend that the
hygiene sensor is cleaned every time
the batteries are changed.
^ Slide open the maintenance hatch.
^ Carefully clean the hygiene sensor
using a dry cotton bud.
Disposing of old floorheads
^ Old appliances may contain
materials which can be reclaimed or
recycled. Please contact your dealer,
your local waste collection centre or
scrap merchant about potential
recycling schemes.
