1.4 Product description
The Invacare® Matrx® PS cushion is designed to provide skin protection and shear
reduction for individuals at moderate to high risk of skin breakdown. The lightweight
PSP Cushion is a great choice for a variety of needs including pediatric, geriatric,
bariatric and highly active individuals.
The anatomically contoured high resilience foam cushion features a molded polymer
insert for extra skin protection and shear reduction, as well as a unique waffled ischial
relief recess for improved immersion and comfort. Our standard outer cover utilizes a
unique reversible StarTex™ fabric, which provides two unique cover options to satisfy
user needs in terms of comfort and aesthetics. This specially designed breathable,
reversible stretch fabric outer cover may be installed with either the knitted surface
exposed or with the (wipeable) polyurethane coated surface exposed.
Our PSP Mini cushion model is uniquely designed for pediatric users, and offers four
unique outer cover fabric options: StarTex™(standard), Kidabra, Pink Lollipop or Blizzard
Blue. All outer cover materials are moisture resistant and breathable. The Kidabra,
Pink Lollipop and Blizzard Blue covers are non-reversible. The inner cover for all our
Invacare® Matrx® PSP Cushion models is moisture resistant to protect the foam.
Regular cleaning and inspection of the covers is recommended. Refer to Care and
Maintenance instructions in Section 4.0.
