MOUNTING OVER RECESSED JUNCTION BOX
NOTE: Knockouts are provided for mounting over 3" octagonal or 4"
octagonal junction boxes.
1. Remove lens assembly by loosening screws on side of frame.
Swing lens assembly open, and lift lens assembly upward to
remove from housing. Set lens assembly aside for later use.
2. Drill out appropriate knockouts in back box for attachment to junction
box. Also, if present, remove threaded plug in center of back wall of
box for wiring access.
NOTE: Fixture should not be exclusively supported by junction
box. Drill additional knockouts toward corners of fixture to provide
additional support. Do NOT drill within 1/4" (64 mm) from edges of
fixture.
3. Pull supply leads from junction box through wall of back box. Attach
back box to mounting surface using hardware (supplied by others)
appropriate for mounting surface.
NOTE: A high grade caulking material, such as silicone rubber,
MUST be used around perimeter of back gasket and at support
locations in the four corners of the fixture to prevent water leakage
into fixture or junction box.
4. Replace the lens assembly on the hinges.
5. Make wiring connections per the Electrical Connections section.
6. Close lens assembly and re-tighten screws that were loosened in
Step 1.
WALL MOUNTED WITH CONDUIT FEED
1. Remove lens assembly by loosening screws on side of frame.

attachment of back box to mounting surface.
3. Attach back box to mounting surface using hardware (supplied by
others) appropriate for mounting surface.
NOTE: A high grade caulking material, such as silicone rubber,
MUST be used around perimeter of back gasket to prevent water
leakage into fixture or junction box.
4. Remove appropriate threaded plugs on sides of fixture and route
electrical conduit to the holes desired. Feed the supply leads through
the conduit and into the back box.
NOTE: Use of teflon tape on the conduit threads will ensure a
watertight seal.
