Use as a phono preamplifier
• Connect the output of your record player to the PHONO IN connector on the phono preampli-
fier.
If your record player has a ground terminal (usually a metal screw terminal or a thin
ground wire), connect this terminal with the screw terminal next to the PHONO IN
connector.
• Slide the MM/MC switch in the correct position according to the cartridge used:
MM = Moving Magnet-System / MC = Moving Coil System
• Slide the LINE IN/PRE-AMP OUT switch in the PRE-AMP OUT position.
• Connect the LINE IN/PRE-AMP OUT port to an available input on your audio amplifier. If
your audio amplifier does not have an appropriate connection socket, use a suitable adapter
cable.
• Connect the USB connector on the phono preamplifier with an availablr USB port on your
computer. Alternatively, a power supply with USB output can be connected.
• Select the audio amplifier on the input to which the phono preamplifier is connected and start
playback on the record player.
When a computer is connected to the USB port, the signal of the record player can
be digitized simultaneously (see "digitization of records").
Digitizing of line signals
• Connect the output of your device with the line output (e.g. CD player) to the LINE IN/PRE-
AMP OUT connector. If your device does not have an appropriate connection socket, use a
suitable adapter cable.
• The position of the MM/MC switch is not relevant in this particular usage.
• Slide the LINE IN/PRE-AMP OUT switch in the LINE IN position.
• Connect the USB connector on the phono preamplifier with an available USB port on your
computer.
• The computer recognizes the phono preamplifier automatically and install the required drivers.
• Start your digitizing software and set the source "USB PREAMP" one.
• Begin the playback on CD-Player.
