• Do not overload wall outlet or extension cords as this can result in a fire or electric shock.
• Do not put any stress on the power cord where it connects to the appliance, as the power
cord could fray and break.
SHORT CORD INSTRUCTIONS:
• A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) is to be provided to
reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
• Longer extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in
their use.
• If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:
A. The marked electrical rating of the cord or extension cord should be at
least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.
B. If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a
grounding 3-wire cord; and
C. The longer cord should be arranged so that it does not drape over the
countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped
over unintentionally.
WARNING: This product is equipped with a 3 -prong grounding type. This is a safety
feature. The plug will fit into an outlet one way ONLY. Never use the plug with an
extension cord unless you can fully insert the plug into the extension cord and the
extension cord must be a grounding-type 3 wire cord. DO NOT attempt to defeat
the safety purpose of the plug.
