1 Description
The calorimeter is made up of a double-walled glass flask bright dipped in
vacuum, covered with a plastic outer cover, an internal plastic vessel and a
closing cover.
The calorimeter's cover consists of the following elements:
•
1 guided non-removable plastic stirrer, with a rectangular cross-
section
•
1 ∅ 11 mm port for a thermometer or a probe
•
1 ∅ 6 mm guide for an expansion thermometer or a temperature
probe
•
1 central circular opening that can be plugged by a cover to insert
resistances
•
Two 2 and 4 Ω resistances connected in series on sheathed
aluminium rods, connected to an insulating cover with ∅ 4mm safety
plugs.
To make temperature measurements, the calorimeter can be used with :
•
to
A fairly long glass expansion thermometer*
•
A temperature probe with a diameter less than 7 mm, such as the
®
Initio
Thermometer part no. 251 040 or the Initio
Thermometer with analog output part no. 251 045 (a retaining clip
for the temperature probe is provided for these 2 devices).
