6 INSTALLATION

6.1

Preparing LA4 or LA8 for AES/EBU capability

6.1.1

LA-AES3 board mounting

Required material
LA-AES3 installation kit
 LA-AES3 board with 2 ribbon cables fixed on it.
 Two 36 mm spacers.
 6 Phillips
® screws.
 12 Torx ®
screws.
 1 external plate.
Procedure
Strictly follow the step sequence.
WARNING
1. Disconnect the controller from mains (remove the plug) and wait for 5 minutes.
ALWAYS disconnect the controller from mains before performing the mounting procedure.
Five minutes time is required for the high-voltage primary capacitors to run down and no longer
being potentially dangerous.
VOLTAGE
2. Flip the controller upside down and remove the 12 Torx
LA-AE S3_UM_ML _2.0
Tools (not provided)
 Antistatic wrist strap.
 T10 Torx
 T8 Torx
 5.5 mm hex socket screwdriver.
 PH.1 Phillips
® screws (T8 or T10) from the back cover.
