have read and understood these instructions for
use before using the appliance for the first time.
• Always keep the operating instructions within
reach.
• If you sell or pass on the device, you must also
pass on these operating instructions.
• When working on walls, ceiling or floors, pay
attention to any installed cables as well as gas
and water lines.
• Use only rechargeable batteries authorised by the
manufacturer.
Risk of damage to the eyes! Never look
directly into the LED.
• If wrongly used, liquid may escape from the bat-

Changing the batteries
Note: The actual appearance of your
product may differ from the illustrations.
► P. 2, fig. 1
If batteries are defective, the time that the lights are
on each day decreases greatly.
– Checking the batteries: Cover the photo sensor of
the light. The light switches on.
– Remove defective batteries and replace with new
batteries. Ensure the correct polarity!
• Never use normal batteries!
• If the outside temperature is very low, the voltage
of the batteries drops. This can reduce the output
of the light.

Storage and transport
Storing
– Remove batteries.
– Store the device and any accessories in a dry,
well-ventilated place.
– In case of longer periods without operation, pro-
tect the device and its accessories against soiling
and corrosion.
– If the light is not used for an extended period
(overwintering), store it in a dry frost-free location.
Transport
– Use the original packaging to ship whenever pos-
sible.
Storing the batteries
• Storing the battery for a long period of time when
empty may damage the battery and greatly
reduce its capacity.
• Charge batteries before storing them to avoid
damage and deep discharging. The optimum
state of charge before storage is approx. 70%.
• If the battery is stored for a long period of time,
regularly check the state of charge; charge the
battery if necessary.
• Store batteries in dry and well-ventilated areas.
• Protect batteries from moisture and water.
• Store batteries in the following places if possible:
– in rooms with smoke detectors;
– not in the vicinity of flammable or easily com-
bustible objects;
– not in the vicinity of heat sources.
• The optimum storage temperature is 10-20°C.
• Batteries must not be stored below 0 °C or above
40 °C as extreme temperatures may cause the
batteries to become damaged.
• Do not expose batteries to direct sunlight.
• Disconnect batteries from the device before stor-
age.
• Do not leave batteries permanently connected to
the charger.
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the
device! Do not use any sharp or abrasive
objects, or aggressive cleaning agents.
Do not use cleaning solutions.
Note: The service life of the batteries is
longest when they are well maintained
and above all stored at the right tempera-
tures. However, as the batteries age, their
capacity will decrease, even if stored
properly. A significantly shorter operating
time despite a full battery indicates that
the battery is depleted.
