– To switch off, press the on/off switch (2) until the
heating indicator (1) goes out.
Gluing
DANGER! Risk of injury! Use the
stand (7) for resting the device. Don't put the
device down on any inflammable surface.
WARNING! Risk of injury! Protect per-
sons and animals from hot adhesive and the
nozzle tip; risk of burning. If hot adhesive
makes contact with the skin, immediately
hold the affected area under cold running
water for several minutes. Do not try to
remove the adhesive from the skin.
– Insert the correct adhesive for the material into
the feed channel.
– Switch the device on and let it heat up (► Switch-
ing on and off – p. 17).
• After approx. 90 seconds the device will be ready
to use.
• The operating temperature reached is displayed
by the heating indicator (1).
– Press the feed button (6) with moderate pressure
to control the flow of the adhesive as required.
– Apply the adhesive on one side (► Tips on use – 
p. 17).
– As soon as the adhesive has been applied, press
the materials being glued together. At this point it
is still possible to adjust the adhesive joint.
– As soon as the work is completed put the product
on its stand to let it cool down. The glue cartridge
can remain in the product.
• The adhesive joint is ready after approx. 5 min-
utes.
Cleaning and maintenance
DANGER! Risk of injury! Always pull the
mains plug from the mains socket before
carrying out any maintenance or cleaning
work and let the product cool down com-
pletely.

– To remove the batteries from the unit, operate the
on/off switch until the batteries are fully dis-
charged.
– Remove the screws on the housing and remove
the housing shell.
