Remaining risks
There will still be residual risks even when the device
is used according to the instructions and under obser-
vation of all of the safety notes in this set of operating
instructions:
• Touching the tool in the uncovered section.
• Reaching into the operating tool.
• Kickback from work pieces and work piece parts.
Personal protective clothing
Wear goggles when working with the device.
Wear ear defenders when working with the
device.
When working with tools that cause consid-
erable dust, wear a dust protection mask.
Wear safety gloves when working with the
device.
Wear tight fitting clothes when working with
the device.
If you have long hair, cover or wear a hair
net.

• Plunge saw blade [A]: For separating and plunge
cuts, also for cuts close to the edges, in corners
and in areas that are hard to reach.
• Segment saw blade [B]: Deep and slim plunge
cuts, also for cuts close to the edges, in corners
and in areas that are hard to reach.
• Grinding disc [C]: Grinder at the edges, in corners
or in areas that are difficult to reach.

Inserting the tool
WARNING! Risk of burning! Shortly after
being used, the tool may be very hot. Allow
a hot tool to cool down. Never clean a hot
tool with flammable liquids.
CAUTION! Risk of cutting! Even a tool
which is at a standstill can still cut! Always
wear gloves when replacing the tool.
Note: The tool can be offset in 30° steps to
set the most convenient working position.

1. Unscrew the tensioning lever (1) towards [ ].
2. Remove the tensioning screw (5).
– Fit the tool (4) precisely to the star-shaped tool
holder (6).
– Ensure that the tool is flush.
3. Insert the tensioning screw (5).
4. Tighten the tensioning lever (1) towards [ ].
– Ensure that the tool is securely fitted into place.
Fitting the sanding sheet
– Applying the sanding sheet (► Inserting the
tool – p. 26).
– Align the sanding sheet carefully and manually
press onto the sander plate.
– Press the device with the sanding sheet firmly
onto an even surface and switch on briefly.
Operation
Check before switching on!
Check to make sure the device is in a safe operating
condition:
– Check to make sure there are no visible defects.
– Check to make sure all device components are
correctly mounted.
Switching on and off
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the unit! The
motor may overheat in the event of perma-
nent heavy loads and low revolutions. Run
the motor at higher revolutions in idle to
allow it to cool down.
– Switching on: Push the on/off switch (2) forwards.
– Switching off: Push the on/off switch (2) back-
wards.
– Regulating the speed: Set the speed regulator (3)
to the required level.
