• Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the
switch is in the off-position before connecting
to power source and/or battery pack, picking
up or carrying the tool. If you carry the power
tool with your finger on the switch or if the device
is switched on and connected to the power sup-
ply, accidents may occur.
• Remove any adjusting key or wrench before
turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key
left attached to a rotating part of the device may
result in personal injury.
• Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and
balance at all times. This enables better control
of the power tool in unexpected situations.
• Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or
jewellery. Keep hair and clothing away from
moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long
hair can be caught in moving parts.
• If devices are provided for the connection of
dust extraction and collection facilities,
ensure these are connected and properly
used. Use of these devices can reduce dust-
related hazards.
• Do not let familiarity gained from frequent use
of tools allow you to become complacent and
ignore tool safety principles. A careless action
can cause severe injury within a fraction of a sec-
ond.
Power tool use and care
• Do not force the power tool. Use the correct
power tool for your application. The correct
power tool will do the job better and safer at the
rate for which it was designed.
• Do not use the power tool if the switch does
not turn it on and off. Any power tool that can-
not be controlled with the switch is dangerous and
must be repaired.
• Disconnect the plug from the power source
and/or remove the battery pack, if detachable,
from the power tool before making any adjust-
ments, changing accessories, or storing
power tools. Such preventive safety measures
reduce the risk of starting the power tool acciden-
tally.
• Store idle power tools out of the reach of chil-
dren and do not allow persons unfamiliar with
the power tool or these instructions to operate
the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in
the hands of untrained users.
• Maintain power tools and insert tools with
care. Check whether moving parts function
properly and are not jammed, whether parts
are broken or damaged such that the power
tool cannot function properly. Have any dam-
aged parts repaired before using the device.
Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained
power tools.
• Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly
maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges
are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
• Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits
etc. in accordance with these instructions,
taking into account the working conditions
and the work to be performed. Use of the
power tool for operations different from those
intended could result in a hazardous situation.

• Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry,
clean and free from oil and grease. Slippery
handles and grasping surfaces do not allow for
safe handling and control of the tool in unex-
pected situations.
Service
• Have your power tool serviced by a qualified
repair person using only identical replace-
ment parts. This will ensure that the safety of the
power tool is maintained.
• Never service damaged battery packs. Ser-
vice of battery packs should only be performed by
the manufacturer or authorized service providers.
Safety information for multi-function tools
• Do not use any accessory that has not been
provided and recommended by the manufac-
turer specially for this electrical tool. Just
because the accessories can be fixed on your
electrical tool, no secured use is ensured.
• Use the electrical tool for dry sanding only.
The risk of electric shock increases if water pene-
trates an electrical product.
• Inform yourself with regard to the surface to
be sanded and the dusts and vapours poten-
tially arising. If in any doubt, do not inhale
even small amounts of arising dusts or
vapours. Harmful/toxic dusts may arise when
sanding certain surfaces (various metals, miner-
als or woods as well as weather protection coat-
ings), which can cause severe allergic reactions
or serious illness. Do not inhale these dusts and
vapours and avoid contact. Materials containing
asbestos may only be processed by specialists.
• Keep hands away from cutting area and the
blade. If both hands are holding the circular saw,
the saw blade will not be able injure them.
• Do not reach underneath the work piece.
Contact with the saw blade may cause injury.
• Only guide the power tool to the work piece
when it is switched on. Otherwise there is a risk
of kickback when the inserted tool becomes
jammed in the work piece.
• Never hold the work piece that is being cut in
your hands or across your leg. Secure the
work piece to a stable platform. It is important
to support the work properly to minimise body
exposure, blade binding, or loss of control.
• Before sawing into wood, plywood, construction
materials etc. check these for foreign bodies such
as nails, screws and remove if necessary.
• Do not use dull or damaged blades. Blades
with blunt or incorrectly oriented teeth will, as a
result of a sawn gap that is too narrow, cause
increased friction and jamming of the blade as
well as kickback.
• Be very carefully when making plunge cuts in
existing walls or in other areas that are diffi-
cult to see. The plunging blade may become
blocked by hidden objects and cause a kickback.
• Dust from materials such as paint that con-
tains lead, some wood types, minerals and
metals may be a health risk as cause allergic
reactions, breathing problems and/or cancer.
Materials containing asbestos may only be pro-
cessed by specialists.
