Proper use
• This filter is intended in stationary use as a prefil-
ter for the suction-side connection to well water,
rainwater and process water.
• It may not be used to provide drinking water or to
convey food items.
• Explosive, combustible, or aggressive materials
or substances which are hazardous to health and
fecal matter may not be conveyed.
• The filter is not suitable for commercial or indus-
trial use.
• Any other use is improper. Unforeseeable dam-
age may result from improper use, alterations or
the use of parts that have not been checked and
approved by the manufacturer!
Connection
Note: All screw connections must be sealed
with screw thread sealing tape (e. g. Teflon
tape); leaks cause air intake and reduce or
prevent water intake.
The filter is installed between the pump and the suc-
tion line.
– Screw the outlet nozzle of the filter to the suction
nozzle of the pump (pipe connection: 33,3 mm
(G 1")). Observe installation direction: the out-
let nozzle of the filter is marked [OUT] on the top.
– Screw the inlet nozzle of the filter to the suction
line of the pump (pipe connection: 33,3 mm
(G 1")).
Commissioning
Before commissioning, the filter must be filled with
water so that the pump can take in.

unscrew together with the seal.
– Completely fill the filter with water.
– Put the filler plug back in again together with the
seal and screw in tightly.
Cleaning
Depending on the contamination of the conveyed
water, the filter must be cleaned regularly.
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the device! If
the conveyed water is highly contaminated,
clean the filter after each use. A stopped-up
filter will damage the pump!
– Unscrew filter housing and take out filter car-
tridge.
– If needed, soak filter cartridge in warm water for a
short while.
– Rinse filter cartridge with clear water; brush out
stubborn dirt from inside using a soft brush.
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the device!
Before installing the cleaned filter cartridge,
check to be sure that there are no foreign
particles inside! Intake of particles will dam-
age the pump!
– Insert cleaned filter cartridge into the filter hous-
ing.
– Screw the filter cartridge back in again. Ensure
proper location of the seal!
Storage
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the device! If
there is a danger of frost the filter must be
dismantled as it will otherwise burst if the
water inside it freezes!
