Initial opening and emergency
opening
When you want to open the safety deposit
box for the fi rst time, remove the cover plate
(5) at the front on the door (6).
Behind the cover plate you will fi nd a keyhole
into which you can insert one of the keys
provided and then unlock the safety deposit
box. The key is turned to the left, while
the knob is turned to the right. The safety
deposit box can now be opened.
WARNING! Do not leave the keys inside the
safety deposit box! Safety deposit boxes
are produced in batches at the factory, and
therefore there is no way of replacing keys.
Insertion and replacement of
batteries
When you have opened the door for the fi rst
time, you must insert batteries in order to
open the safety deposit box with a code.
Remove the battery compartment cover (3)
on the back of the door. Insert 4 x 1.5 V AA
batteries and replace the battery cover.
WARNING! Take care not to damage the
safety deposit box's wiring when changing
the batteries.
After installing new batteries, the code must
be reprogrammed.
When the batteries are about to run out, the
LOW BATTERY indicator light will come on.
Ensure that they are replaced as soon as
possible.
Programming the code
1. Open the door and press the reset button
(2) on the inside of the door. The yellow
indicator light comes on.
2. Enter the required new 3-8 digit code
and confi rm the new code by pressing
the * or # button. You will hear a beep.
Write the new code down immediately so
that you don't forget it. If the WARNING
indicator light fl ashes, you have made a
mistake and must start again.
Programming the master code
The master code is an emergency code for
use if you forget your regular code.
1. Open the door, press the 0 button twice
and press the reset button (2) on the
inside of the door. The yellow indicator
light comes on.
2. Enter the required new 3-8 digit master
code and confi rm the new master code
by pressing the * or # button. You will
hear a beep. Write the new master code
down immediately so that you don't
forget it. If the WARNING indicator light
fl ashes, you have made a mistake and
must start again.
