Device-specific safety instructions
• The surroundings must be free of highly-flamma-
ble or explosive materials.
• The product must be standing on an even, hori-
zontal surface with clearance to all sides.
• The distance towards the front between the venti-
lation grate and objects must be at least 100 cm.
• The air supply of the product situated at the
underside may not be covered e. g. by shag-piles.
Make sure that no foreign body or dust can be
sucked.
• The product may not be operated outdoors.
• The device may never be operated without super-
vision.
• If the device is left unattended or is not used for
longer period, remove the plug from the socket
allow the product to cool down and store it in a
safe.
• The device may not be covered. There is danger
of fire.
• Never put objects through the ventilation grate
into the device, danger to life!
• Never put the device in water or other liquids.
• When operating the produce, heed sufficient
safety distance. It must be ensured the people
who are in the bathtub or shower cannot reach the
device.
• Do not use adapters or extension cords.
• Do not use the heater in conjunction with a timer
or any other switch capable of automatic activa-
tion, as this creates a fire hazard.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from
8 years and above and by persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of
the appliance in a safe way and if they understand
the hazards involved. Children shall not play with
the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance
shall not be made by children without supervision.
• Children of less than 3 years should be kept away
unless continuously supervised.
• Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years
shall only switch on/off the appliance provided
that it has been placed or installed in its intended
normal operating position and they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of
the appliance in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and
less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and
clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.
• CAUTION! Some parts of this product can
become very hot and cause burns. Particular
attention has to be given where children and vul-
nerable people are present.
• The most common cause of overheating is depos-
its of dust or fluff in the appliance. Ensure these
deposits are removed regularly by unplugging the
appliance and vacuum cleaning air vents and
grilles.
• This appliance heats up slightly when in use. To
avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot sur-
faces.

• Symbols appearing on your device may not be
removed or covered. Signs on the device that are
no longer legible must be replaced immediately.
Read and observe the instructions for use
before using the product for the first time.
To prevent overheating, do not cover the
heater!

Operation
Check before switching on!
DANGER! Danger to Life! The product
may only be put into operation if no
defects or faults are found during the
check-up. Ensure that any defective parts
are replaced before the product is used
again.
Check the safe condition of the product:
– Check whether there are any visible defects.
– Check whether all parts of the product are firmly
attached.
Using the heater
Note: The actual appearance of your
product may differ from the illustrations.
– Connect the mains plug to a mains socket with the
correct voltage.
– Turn on the main power switch at the back of the
heater to the [I] position. The heater will enter
standby mode. (The power indicator light will flash
and will only turn off when the heater is turned on.)
Check the heater's rating plate for the correct volt-
age.
– Press the on/stand-by [ ] touch button to turn on
the heater, the fan mode icon [
icon [ ] will display along with the room temper-
ature. The anti-frost function maintains the room
temperature at 7 °C. If the temperature in the
room is below 7 °C, the appliance will automati-
cally turn the heater on to high power [
warm up the room. If the temperature is above
7 °C the appliance will automatically select fan
mode [
