10. Preparation for operation
• The product must be placed and operated in a pond or a similar place and must be fully submerged.
• Do not place the product at the bottom sediment. Instead, use a raised base or place the product on a suitable
stone plate.
• The distance between the upper side of the housing and the water surface must be at least 20 cm.
• Connect a suitable hose onto the outlet port (and inlet port, if desired). Secure the connection with a suitable hose
clamp.
The outlet port is marked with two overlapping triangles.
The hose should be as short as possible in order to guarantee the highest possible pumping capacity.
• The product can be secured with a rope attached to the handle on the side.
• The product may only be operated in a horizontal position!
• The water to be pumped must be clean and clear. Only fine suspended matter is admissible, which may occur in
every normal garden pond. Otherwise the nozzle attachments will clog!
• In addition, coarser impurities (leaves, dirt particles, pebbles etc.) clog the suction ports or block the pump.
• After installation, make sure, that there are no air bubbles in the hose. To do so, place the hose on an incline.
