14. Care and cleaning
• Before cleaning, disconnect the product from the mains; remove the power plug all the way out of the mains
socket.
• Use a soft clean cloth to clean the outer surface of the product. If necessary rinse the outer surface with clear
water.
• Clean the filter cage once a month or if the pumping capacity is heavily reduced.
• To clean the motor/pump:
- Open the 4 blue brackets. Remove the upper filter cage.
- Clean the pump under running water using a soft brush.
- Remove any dirt on the impeller through the openings.
Never open the motor housing. Danger to life!
When disassembling and reassembling make sure that you put any spacing washers and bearings back in
the same place. Proceed carefully.
Do not use tools to dismantle and reassemble and do not apply any force.
• After cleaning, reassemble the product completely and properly. Dry up the product and the power cord before
putting in storage.
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as they can cause
damage to the housing and malfunctioning.
15. Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste. At the end of
its service life, dispose of the product in accordance with applicable regulatory guidelines.
You thus fulfill your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
