Helmet for pedal cycling, skateboarding or
roller skating
USER MANUAL
Thank you for choosing a PUKY helmet.
This helmet is for pedal cycling, skateboarding or roller skating. It may not be used
for other vehicles.
Protective helmets are a part of personal protective equipment and help in prevent-
ing or at least minimising head injuries.
Please read through this user manual carefully. It contains important information
about the safety and wearing comfort of the helmet.
Important! The helmet can provide protection only if the chosen size is correct and
if the straps are properly adjusted for the user. The helmet must be fit well on the
head and must be comfortable to wear. In case of doubts, please check whether the
chosen size of the helmet is correct.
ADJUSTING THE HELMET
In order to ensure optimum protection, adjust the helmet as follows. Put the helmet
on and open the strap divider (figure 1). Now adjust the straps such that they clasp
together just below the ear. The straps may not cover the ears. Then close the strap
divider.
Adjust the chinstrap such that it fits flush but is also comfortable at the same time.
The chin clasp may not be on the chin. The length of the strap can be adjusted at the
chin clasp. Then close the chin strap (figure 2).
Adjust the rear adjusting wheel for the circumference of the head such that the
helmet fits flush and is comfortable (figure 3).
In order to ensure optimum protection, the helmet must cover the forehead and may
not get pushed back too much (figure 4).
ACTIVATION OF THE LIGHT MODULE (FIGURE 5)
To activate the light, press the middle black button on the front of the light module.
There are 3 levels of light that can be activated by pressing the button:
- Press once to activate the blinking light.
- Press twice to activate the steady light.
- Press a third time to turn off the light.
REMOVING THE LIGHT MODULE FROM THE HELMET (FIGURE 6)
Look at the light module from the inside of the helmet. Press the release latch of the
light module (!) downwards until it audibly clicks. After releasing the latch, the light
module can be easily gripped and removed from the outside of the helmet.
CHANGING THE LIGHT MODULE BATTERY (FIGURE 7)
Turn the light module over. Use a key or coin to turn the middle slot of the battery
cover counterclockwise. Remove the cover to access the battery and replace it. Then,
put the battery cover back on and tighten it clockwise with the help of a key or coin.
INSTALLING THE LIGHT MODULE IN THE HELMET (FIGURE 8)
Take the light module and starting with the top edge, insert it into the helmet (!).
Then, press the bottom edge of the light module firmly until it audibly clicks into
place.
