3. Inspection and maintenance
• Moving parts, including gear unit, interlocking devices and shafts must be kept clean and greased to guarantee
correct and safe operation.
• The components may be attacked by chemicals, salts and rust, and should be checked for their safe function before
any utilization.
• Do not actuate the rope winch, when the rope is knotted or twisted or shows any weakening. Do not touch any
load-bearing wire ropes, rope pulleys, drums and belt pulleys during operation.
Attention: Boat trailers, which are not equipped with keel and lateral hull rollers, are designed that way, that they
are submerged under water when the boat is being loaded, i.e. the boat should "swim onto" the trailer. When the trailer
is not under water, attempts to "pull" the boat from the trailer that way may result in a rope winch defect and injuries.
Rope winches are not designed to attach boats at trailers; for that boat fasteners should be used.
