Main Description
1. SDS plus Chuck
2. Variable speed ON/OFF trigger
3. Rear hand grip
Basic Operation
SDS plus system (Fig.4-5)
The tool holder (1) clamps SDS+ drill bits without the need for a chuck key.
Pull the collar (1.1) back.
Insert the drill bit. It may be necessary to rotate the drill bit to ensure it engages correctly.
Release the collar to lock the drill bit in place. Check by pulling the drill bit to ensure that it is firmly seated.
Important: Always clean and lightly grease the tool shaft before inserting into the chuck.
Take care that the dust protection cap is not damaged. Allowing dust and debris inside the holder will cause problems in the
future.
To remove a drill bit, slide the collar (1.1) backwards rear and pull out the tool.
Direction of rotation selector (Fig.6)
The direction of rotation selector (7) determines the direction of rotation of the drill bit (clockwise or counterclockwise).
To select the direction of rotation:
Stop the machine and push the selector (7) to the left or right.
When the direction of rotation selector is pushed to the left, the drill bit will rotate clockwise.
When the selector is pushed to the right, the drill bit will rotate counterclockwise.
Before operation, check that the selector is set to the required position. Do not change the direction of rotation until the
drill bit comes to a complete stop.
When the tool is not in use move the switch to neutral (middle position) in order to lock the trigger.
Note: Failure to use the neutral position may activate the trigger inadvertently. This inadvertent operation may damage
the power tool.
Variable speed trigger (Fig.7)
When the trigger (2) is pressed, the bit will rotate (provided the direction of rotation selector (7) is set in the clockwise or
counterclockwise position). This trigger is electronic which enables the user to vary the speed continuously.
The speed varies according to how far the trigger is depressed.
The further it is pressed, the faster the drive spindle will rotate.
The lighter it pressed, the slower it will rotate.
LED Worklight (Fig.8)
To aid use in confined and inadequately lit spaces, the LED worklight (4) automatically illuminates when the trigger is
pressed.
Function Selector (Fig.9)
Rotary/hammer selection:
This selector switch (8) incorporates a locking button (8.1).
Press the button whilst turning the selector.
Rotate the switch to either the rotary
or rotary and hammer position.
Disposal
At the end of the machine's working life or when it can no longer be repaired, ensure that it is disposed of according to
national regulations.
Contact your local authority for details of collection schemes in your area.
In all circumstances:
