Instructions for use: 5512 infrared thermometer
This infrared thermometer has the particularity of easily and quickly measuring the surface temperature while programming an alarm that can
have 3 different limits in relation to the reference temperature (+/‐0.5°C, +/‐3°C or +/‐5°C).

Using the device
1.
To measure the temperature, point the thermometer at the area to be measured and press the trigger. The « SCAN » icon will appear.

Alarm temperature (reference): by default the temperature is set to 0°C.
To modify this : first, press and hold the trigger, then press the « SET » button while holding the trigger. The « REF »
indicator will flash. Release the buttons. Press and hold one of the D « left » or E « right » buttons (see the drawing
on the right) to change the alarm temperature. Press « SET » to confirm.
The device will remember the reference temperature until the battery is changed. To modify the reference again, repeat the procedure.

To set the alarm threshold: turn on the device and press the « left » or « right » button to select the desired tolerance: +/‐0.5°C, +/‐
3°C or +/‐5°C relative to the reference temperature. To disable the reference temperature function: select the « OFF » icon.

Alarm: The measured temperature will automatically be compared to the selected reference temperature with the chosen limit.

If the measured temperature remains within the selected range: the screen will be green.

If the temperature exceeds the limit: the screen will turn red and beep quickly (if the trigger is held).
‐
If the temperature is below the limit: the screen will turn blue and beep slowly (if the trigger is held).
‐
If the alarm is set to "OFF" : the screen will appear yellow

Settings:
To choose the measurement unit (°C or °F): press the "SET" button.
To adjust the emissivity: press and hold the "SET" button for 3 seconds, then adjust the emissivity using the « left » and « right »
buttons. Press "SET" again for 3 seconds to save the selected emissivity. Note: The default emissivity is set to 0,95.

Battery replacement:
When the low battery icon appears
To do this, open the battery compartment, replace the 9V battery and close the battery compartment cover.
