Tip: Measuring the temperature gives a figure that provides
information about a person's current temperature. If you are unsure
about interpreting the results or if the result is abnormal (e.g. fever),
you should consult your family doctor. This also applies to small
changes in temperature, if there are other symptoms of illness, such as
agitation, severe sweating, flushed skin, high pulse rate, tendency to
collapse etc.

Changing the battery
Remove the screw from the battery compartment with a small
screwdriver and open the lid. Remove the battery. Take a new
CR-2032 lithium battery and align it with the positive terminal (anode)
facing upwards. Place the battery into the battery compartment. Place
the lid back and screw it tightly.
When the battery gets weak, the battery warning
symbol appears (figure A). It is still possible to
measure the temperature. Battery must be
replaced.
If the battery is nearly flat, "Lo" and the battery
warning symbol are displayed (figure B). The
thermometer switches off. Replace battery promptly.
