If using the REHEAT, DEFROST, or BAGEL settings (see p. 11 and
12 for more information on those functions), push the lever all
the way down, and then press one of those buttons. NOTE: Each
button will illuminate when pressed.
When toasting is done, the Digital Toaster will automatically
pop the food up for retrieval and return to standby mode. If the
REHEAT, DEFROST, or BAGEL button was selected, the food will
also pop up, and the unit will return to standby mode. CAUTION:
Beware of hot surfaces when removing food from the toaster.
Lift the lever up above the ready position to raise the food higher
for easier retrieval. WARNING: Never use metal utensils to remove
food from the toaster.
To stop or check on your food at any time, press the CANCEL
button. You can also simply push the lever up to cancel
the toast cycle.
After 20 minutes of inactivity in standby mode, the unit will enter
sleep mode, where the LED display and all function buttons are off.
Pressing any button or adjusting the dial will return it to
standby mode.
If the lever is pushed down while the unit is in sleep mode, the unit
will begin toasting using the previously set shade.
