Maintenance
• Clean the carrier regularly using warm water or car
shampoo, especially when using or after using the carrier
in coastal areas (the effect of salt water) or during periods
when salt is applied to the roads (winter time).
• The tent should be carefully cleaned and maintained. For
this purpose, only use a solution of water and standard
household washing liquid without any alcohol, bleach or
ammonium additives as otherwise the surface of the tent
could be damaged.
• Thule tents are highly water resistant. Moisture found inside
of the tent is likely caused by condensation. To minimize
the amount of condensation, always keep windows or vents
open. Also avoid keeping wet clothes inside of the tent.
• Thule tent fabrics have a water resistant coating and sealed
seams to prevent water from entering the tent during
normal use. It is recommended to periodically coat the
tent with an additional layer of waterproof spray or add
seam sealer to maintain water resistance. These items are
commonly found at local outdoor stores.
• Always dry the tent thoroughly before closing it. Failure to
do so may cause growth of mold and mildew.
• Prior to closing the tent, lift the mattress and the bottom of
the tent fabric and ensure that everything is dry.
• Pull zippers in a gentle fashion, never force, as this may
damage the zippers. If a zipper is having trouble, check
to ensure that no fabric is caught in the zipper and have
someone help reduce tension by pulling the zipper together.
• Ensure that the tent is fully dry and clean prior to storage.
Clean and maintain the tent in accordance with the
instructions. Store the tent in a dry and cool environment
thet is free from direct sunlight. The tent should not be
stored outside exposed to the elements (e.g. rain or direct
sunlight).
• The manufacturer is not liable for any damage or accident
that may occur as a result of non-compliance with the usage
instructions, modifications made to parts or usage of any
parts other than the manufacturer's original parts.
• To ensure that you receive the spare parts quickly and to
avoid time-consuming queries, please provide the relevant
product details and the serial number when placing an
order or making an inquiry.
• In order to ensure that you are able to replace lost or
defective keys as quickly as possible, note down the lock
and key number which can be found on your key.

ASSEMBLAGE ET MONTAGE
• Vérifiez les instructions d'assemblage pour vous assurer que
toutes les pièces nécessaires du produit sont présentes.
• En plus des instructions du produit, il convient également
de tenir compte des instructions d'utilisation du véhicule
concerné.
• Le conducteur du véhicule est seul responsable de s'assurer
que le coffre sur attelage est en parfait état et que le coffre
sur attelage est solidement monté (même s'il est monté par
une tierce personne).
• Ne montez jamais le coffre sur attelage sur un véhicule
dont la limite de poids maximale est inférieure au poids du
produit. Consultez le manuel d'instructions du véhicule.
• Si le véhicule est équipé d'une fonction d'ouverture
automatique du coffre ou du hayon, cette fonction doit être
désactivée et le compartiment à bagages doit être ouvert
manuellement lorsque le coffre sur attelage est installé,
afin d'éviter d'endommager le véhicule et/ou le coffre sur
attelage.
• Ne tentez en aucun cas d'installer le coffre sur attelage
autrement que conformément aux instructions de montage.
• Ne modifiez pas le produit de quelque manière que ce soit.
• Le porte-vélos ne doit être monté que sur des récepteurs
d'attelage avec une position de pin-hole conformément aux
instructions de montage.
• Le poids combiné du porte-vélos et du chargement ne doit
en aucun cas dépasser la capacité de charge autorisée sur le
récepteur d'attelage.
• Vérifiez toujours que le récepteur d'attelage est exempte de
saleté et qu'elle est en bon état.
• Le porte-vélos doit être fréquemment resserré
conformément aux instructions de montage. Si le porte-
vélos se déplace au niveau du récepteur d'attelage ou que la
force de serrage est réduite lors de l'utilisation de la poignée
de fixation, cette force doit être ajustée conformément aux
instructions de montage.
• Conservez une distance de sécurité entre le coffre sur
attelage et le pot d'échappement, afin d'éviter tout
dommage provoqués par la chaleur. Un pot d'échappement
et/ou des gaz d'échappement chauds peuvent en effet
endommager les composants du coffre sur attelage.
Certains véhicules requièrent l'ajout d'un embout pour pot
d'échappement. Consultez votre revendeur Thule en cas de
doute concernant les exigences relatives à votre véhicule.
• Il peut également s'avérer nécessaire d'ajouter une plaque
d'immatriculation, fixée à l'emplacement dédié sur le coffre
sur attelage, conformément à la législation locale en vigueur.
• Conservez les instructions de montage et de sécurité et, le
cas échéant, l'homologation de type ECE dans le véhicule
équipé du coffre sur attelage.
