TROUBLE
CAUSE
REMEDY
Engine will not start.
1. Ignition Ewitch off.
2. Ifegine flooded.
3. Fuel tank empty.
4. Spark plug not firing.
5. Fuel not reaching carburetor.
6. Compression low.
1. Move Ignition switch to "ON."
2. See "Starting Instructions."
3. Fill tank witi correct fuel mixture.
4. Install new spark plug.
5. Check for dirty fuel filter; clean.
Check for kinked or split fuel line;
repair or replace.
6. Contact your Service Dealer.
Engine will not idle properly.
1. Idle speed set too low.
2. Idle speed set too high.
3. Mkture screw requires a^ustment.
4. Crankshaft seals worn.
5. Compression low.
1. Adjust idle speed screw clock¬
wise to increase speed.
2. Adjust idle speed screw coun-
teiidockwise to reduce speed.

Engine will not accelerate,
lacks power, or dies under a
load.
1. Air filter dirty.
2. Spark plug fouled.
3. Carburetor requires adjustment.

regap.
