PRODUCT USE
START UP
FUEL
ATTENTION: The fuel used for this machine is highly flammable. If the fuel or machine is on fire,
extinguish the fire using a dry powder extinguisher. Petrol and oil are extremely flammable and
explosive under certain given conditions. Do not smoke and keep the machine away from naked
flames, sparks or heat sources.
Use 95 octane unleaded petrol and synthetic oil for two-stroke engines. Motor fuel: Mix synthetic oil and gasoline
(25: 1 or 4%).
Mix the petrol and oil in a CE approved container. Do not use fuel that has been stored for more than 2 months. A
fuel stored for too long will make it harder to start the machine and will produce unsatisfactory engine performance.
If the fuel has been in the machine tank for more than two months, remove it from the machine and replace it with
one in perfect condition.
ADD PETROL TO THE FUEL TANK
1.
Choose a suitable area to perform this operation.
2.
Shake the container in which you have the mixture of petrol and oil already prepared.
3.
Remove the fuel filler cap and refill with fuel.
4.
Close the fuel tank cap tightly and wipe off with a dry cloth all fuel that may have been spilled.
WARNINGS
Stop the engine before refuelling.
Do not start the machine indoors or in an enclosed area. Exhaust and fuel fumes contain carbon monoxide and
hazardous chemicals. In case of fumes concentration produced by insufficient ventilation, remove everything
from the work area that prevents the flow of clean air to improve ventilation, and do not return to work in the
area unless you have ventilated the area properly AND make sure that there is sufficient ventilation so that this
fume concentration does not happen again.
Do not refuel in places where there are naked flames, sparks or intense sources of heat. Always fill the tank in a
well-ventilated area with the engine off. Do not overflow the fuel tank by trying to overfill it.
In case of fuel leakage do not start or run the engine until all leaks are fixed. Move the machine away from the
leakage area, and avoid any source of ignition until the fumes have disappeared completely.
Keep at least 3 meters away from the refuelling area before starting the machine.
Refuel before starting the machine. Never remove the fuel filler cap while the engine is running or when the
engine is hot.
Do not use fuels such as ethanol or methanol, as these fuels will damage the engine.
CHECKING POINTS BEFORE START-UP
Do not use this machine if it is damaged or incorrectly adjusted.
Use this machine for the purpose for which it was designed. Any other use can be dangerous for the user, for the
machine and for people, animals and things that may be nearby.
Check:
-
The machine thoroughly and look for loose parts (screws, nuts, etc.) and damages.
-
That there are no fuel leaks.
-
That the bit is not damaged.
-
That the air filter is clean. Clean the filter if necessary.
• Tighten, repair or replace everything as necessary before using the machine.
