Troubleshooting Tips
Before calling technical service, first check the chart below.
Problem
Unit does not start
Dehumidifier does not
dry the air as it should
The unit makes a loud
noise while operating
Frost appears on the coils · This is normal. The dehumidifier has an auto-defrost feature.
Water on the floor
ES, AS,P2 appear in the
display
Auto-defrost
indicator
light flashes
What to check for
· Make sure that the dehumidifier is plugged correctly into the outlet.
· Check the house fuse/circuit breaker box.
· The dehumidifier has reached its desired level or the water tank is full.
· The water tank is not properly placed.
· Not enough time allowed to remove the moisture.
· Make sure that there are no curtains, blinds or furniture blocking the
front or back of the dehumidifier.
· The humidity control may not be set low enough.
· Check that all doors, windows and other openings are securely closed.
· Room temperature is too low, below 5 ºC (41ºF).
· There is a kerosene heater or something producing water vapour in
the room.
· The air filter is clogged.
· The unit is tilted instead of upright as it should be.
· The floor surface is not levelled.
· Hose to connector or hose connection may be loose.
· It is intend for water to be collected in the tank, but the back drain
plug is removed.
