Always use security equipment. Always use eye
goggles. The use of adequate security equipment
such as anti dust masks, security gloves, non slippery
boots, helmet, ear protectors and eye goggles will
reduce personal damages. We highly recommend a
supplementary equipment to protect head, hands, legs
and feet. An adequate clothing will reduce risk of body
damage caused by pieces propelled from the machine
and through accidental contact with the chain of the
saw. To avoid accidents we recommend the use of
security boots, protection helmet and security gloves.
Maintain all body parts well clear of the chain of
the machine when the machine is in use. Before
start up, make sure the chain is not in contact with
any object. One moment of distraction during use can
cause your clothing or any body part to come into
contact with the chain and can cause severe personal
damage.
Hold the machine always with your right hand
on the back handle and your left hand on the
front handle. Holding the machine with your hands
switched, increases the risk of corporal damage and
should never be done.
When cutting a branch that is under tension, be alert
to the risk of it hitting back. When the tension of the
fibres of the wood are released, the branch can kick
back at you and you may loose control of the machine.
Be particularly careful when cutting small and
young trees. Slim material can be easily caught up
in the chain and can be projected towards you and
can cause the loss of balance and control over the
machine.
If you are not an expert user we recommend that you
firstly practice cutting trunks on top of a log holder.
Hold the front handle with the machine disconnected

and at a safe distance from other body parts. When
transporting or storing the machine, always cover the
blade and chain with a cover. An appropriate use of
the machine will reduce the risk of contact with the
chain in motion.
Store the machine in a place where children cannot
reach.
2.3. SECURITY IN THE WORKING AREA
Maintain the working area clean and work with
good illumination. Working areas that are not clean or
not appropriately illuminated can cause accidents.
Do not handle the machine in areas that may have
inflamable liquids, gases or dust. Electrical machines
create sparks that could cause any of these to ignite.
Maintain children away from the working area as
well as any other passers by. Distractions can cause
the loss of control of the machine. Make sure that
children, other people and animals do not enter the
working area.
2.4. ELECTRICAL SECURITY
The mains must coincide with the electrical cable of
the machine. Do not manipulate the electrical cable
or the mains in any case. Mains and cables that have
not been manipulated will reduce the risks of electric
shocks.
Avoid all body contact with pipes, radiators, electric
kitchens and refrigerators. There is an increased risk
of electric shock if your body is in contact with earthed
products or materials.
Do not expose the machine to rain or humid
conditions. Any water or liquid entering the machine
will increase the risk of electric shock.
