5.1
Preparations at the workplace
WARNING
Risk of injury by inadvertent starting!
▶ Before inserting the battery, make sure that the product is switched off.
▶ Remove the battery before making any adjustments to the power tool or before changing accessories.
Observe the safety instructions and warnings in this documentation and on the product.
5.2
Charging the battery
1. Before charging the battery, read the operating instructions for the charger.
2. Make sure that the contacts on the battery and the contacts on the charger are clean and dry.

5.3
Inserting the battery
WARNING
Risk of injury by short circuit or falling battery!
▶ Before inserting the battery, make sure that the contacts on the battery and the contacts on the product
are free of foreign matter.
▶ Make sure that the battery always engages correctly.
1. Charge the battery fully before using it for the first time.
2. Push the battery into the product until it engages with an audible click.
3. Check that the battery is seated securely.

Removing the battery
1. Press the battery release buttons.
2. Remove the battery from the tool.

Adjusting the stroke
5.5.1
Shortening the stroke
WARNING
Risk of injury! Unintentional starting.
▶ Remove the battery before inserting the crimping jaws.
The crimping tool's stroke can be shortened or extended to suit the size of the crimping jaws used.
1. Fit the crimping / pressing jaws.
2. Insert the battery.
3. Press and hold down the control switch until the piston is just short of the crimping jaws.
4. Release the control switch.
▶ The piston stops.
5. Press the pin on the tubular guard.
6. Push the tubular guard to the desired position until the pin engages.
▶ The piston retracts only as far as the selected position.

Extending the stroke
WARNING
Risk of injury! Unintentional starting.
▶ Remove the battery before inserting the crimping jaws.
