Detaching the hip belt (fig. E)
You can detach the hip belt from the product if
required.
1. Unfasten the interior hookandloop fastener.
2. Push the hip belt out to the side.
Adjusting the hip belt and
shoulder and breast straps
Ensure that the product is worn as close to the
back as possible to reduce the leverage effect of
the weight.
1. Put the hip belt around you and bend forward
slightly. Pull the product upwards until the
middle of the padded part of the hip belt rests
on your hip bones.
2. Close the hip belt by connecting the hookand
loop fastener (fig. C). You can adjust the width
of the hip belt at the end of the belt by pulling
or pushing.
Note: The hip belt is correctly in place when it
is more or less at the height of your trouser belt
or top trouser button.
3. Tighten the shoulder straps securely (fig. D).
Ensure that the shoulder straps are secure
but not too tight. The hip belt bears the main
burden of the weight.
4. The height of the chest strap can be variably
adjusted. Ensure that the sliders on both shoul
der straps are at the same height. Close the
release buckle of the chest strap and tighten
it without your breathing being impeded by
this (fig. B). Its sole function is to support the
shoulder straps.
Use of the rain cover
Place the rain cover (2) over the product, as
shown in fig. F, and tighten the cord stopper.
