Remove the safety linchpin, slide the upper axle and open the swinging cheek plate. Place the
rigging rope in the sheave's groove, place a textile sling (or strap) around the upper axle. Close
the swinging cheek plate and the upper axle, lock in place with the safety linchpin. Check to make
sure the ring is engaged in the safety catch.
