5.3 Humidity
Humidity, especially when combined with high temperatures is particularly
harmful to optical elements. It is preferable to store the instruments in a dry
place and in case of very exposed climates, use the polystyrene boxes with
desiccative sachets.
5.4 Dismantling
In case the binocular magnifier needs to be dismantled (for maintenance), the
instrument must be entrusted to the supplier or to a qualified workshop.
5.5 Bulb replacement
Unplug the 3 pin lead :
•
Bottom lighting: open the clamps and lift the stage plate to easily
access the bulb.
•
Top lighting: unscrew the knurled knob located on the right of the
illuminating block. The bulb can be seen after removing the lamp
body.
6 Accessories
Spare bulb Reference 574 152.
Fuse-shaped bulb 12 V and 10 W.
7 110 Volts power supply
1- Unplug the instrument from the power supply
2 – Unscrew the backplate (4 Phillips star head screws).
3 – Identify the 3 transformer primary wires: black = neuter, yellow = 117 V,
red = 230 V. A brown wire is connected at the end of the red wire. Cut the end
of the brown wire and bare the wire for 0.5 cm . Also cut the end of the yellow
wire and bare the wire for 0.5 cm. Connect the yellow and brown wires with a
connecting block.
4 – Replace the blackplate
5 – Stick a label 110 V at the back of the instrument above the main lead.
